Hi! My name is Jane Lynne Martin, and I'm the creator behind Doodlebears. Born and raised in the UK, I live in leafy Buckinghamshire with my family and my two beautiful dogs, Chunky and Lucy, two gorgeous Cavalier King Charles Spaniels.

I've always loved bears, a sentiment that I'm sure is shared by all teddy bear artists. I first started making teddies in 1997 after I came across a magazine that included a teddy bear pattern. Whilst I've always been the creative type - whether it was painting, knitting, crochet or drawing, I was always making something - I'd never considered making my own bears. It was a process that I enjoyed immensely, and as the saying goes, I've never looked back.

My designs are one-of-a-kind and are entirely hand-stitched. I only use the best quality mohair and alpaca, and ensure that each bear is finished to the highest standard. In addition to making bears, I also design primates - chimpanzees, orang-utans, and gorillas are soon to come! I am proud to say that I have won numerous awards with my creations, and I am very thankful to all of my collectors and the many friends I have made in the bear world.
