台灣電力股份有限公司台中發電廠

• 台中火力發電廠成立於民國78年,乃為配合國家長期經濟發展,遵從政府能源多元化政策,供給質優、價廉、可靠之電力,平衡基載電廠分配,提供及因應中部地區工商發達及用電量快速成長。

• 電廠位於台中港南端,大肚溪出海口北側;廠區面積277.5公頃,係抽取台中港航道砂浚填而成之新生地,是國內第一座經過環境影響評估審核通過興建的電廠,也是一座公園化的電廠。

廠區共裝設有10部燃煤汽輪發電機組,每部機組額定發電量為55萬瓩,以及4部緊急氣渦輪發電機組,每部機組額定發電量為7萬瓩,另設有風力及太陽光電發電機組,總發電容量為578.7萬瓩。也就是說,每小時可提供578.7萬度的電力,供民生及工業所需,是全台最大的發電廠。

• 在環保措施方面:本廠進口煤炭品級均經嚴格篩選,並設有密閉式輸煤皮帶機及興建中屋內式煤倉以防止煤塵飛揚;另有高效率低氮氧化物燃燒器及脫硝設備以抑低氮氧化物排放量;高效率脫硫設備以抑低硫氧化物排放量;高效率靜電集塵器設備以抑低粒狀汙染物排放量;以及設置高250公尺煙囪以提高煙氣擴散之效果。

• 台中電廠歷年來提供約20%高品質且價廉電力予台灣電力系統,係國內經濟成長基石,於環保排放更遠低於中央及地方政府標準,是高營運績效發電廠。



Taichung Power Plant was founded in 1989, in order to meet the long-term economic development, comply with the energy diversification policy of the government. TCPP supplies excellent, inexpensive, reliable electricity and balances
the distribution of base-load power plants. It also provides and in response to thecentral region’s industrial and commercial development and the rapid growth of electricity consumption.

Power Plant is located at the southern end of Taichung Harbor, on the northside of Tatu River exit. It is 277.5 hectares reclaimed land by dredged the proposed channel of Taichung Harbor. This project is the first one having the environment
impact assessment (EIA) before construction. It is designed to be a park style.

Taichung Power Plant has not only 10 units of 550MW coal-steam generators , 4 units of 70MW distillated oil emergency gas turbine generators but also wind power generators, solar power. The total generation capacity is 5787MW. In other words, 5.787 million degrees of electricity can be provided every hour for people'slivelihood and industrial needs. Undoubtedly, it is the largest power plant in Taiwan.

In terms of environmental protection measures: our imports of coal grades are
strictly screened, and there is a closed coal conveyor belt machine and the
construction of the indoor coal storage shed to prevent coal dust flying. The high
efficiency Low NOx burners and SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) to De-NOx
emission. The high efficiency FGD (Flue Gas Desulfurization) to De-Sox
emission. The high efficiency EP (Electrostatic Precipitator) to De-Particle Matter
emission. And set 250 meters high chimneys to improve the effect of gas expansion

Taichung Power Plant has provided around 20% of high quality and inexpensive electricity to Taiwan’s power system over the years. It’s the foundation stone of domestic economic growth. Its environmental emissions are further belowthe central and local government standards. To sum up, we can say TCPP is a highoperational performance power plant.
